Houseworks Charleston Dollhouse Kit recreates a grand Southern home in smooth MDF, with a narrow street face, a columned side facade and upper and lower piazzas reached by double stairs.

Why it is listed here

Houseworks designed it to capture authentic Charleston details, down to a crawl space behind a hinged door and a faux vent on the street side. Central halls on each floor open to two rooms, with one more small room on the main floor and staircases included, so furnishers get plenty of distinct spaces to work with.

Using it on a kit

At 33 inches deep it needs a dedicated table or a sturdy wide shelf, so plan the display spot before you start. Seal and prime the MDF edges before painting, since raw MDF edges soak up paint and can swell. Paint the shutters and porch railings off the house and fit them last, and check the illustrated instructions for stair order before gluing the floors in.
