Getting the light right
Warm white, always. Cool white turns wood grey and makes a reading room look like a stairwell. Libraries benefit from a second, smaller light source low in the scene — a desk lamp effect near the front — because a single strip at the top flattens the shelves. Run and test all wiring before the back panel goes on; there is rarely a way back in afterwards.

Building tips for shelf-heavy kits
The tiny books are the job. Most of the build time on a library goes into placing rows of miniature spines. Work in batches along a strip of low-tack tape rather than one at a time.
Keep the shelves square. A shelf glued a degree off is invisible alone and obvious once three sit above each other. Check against the side panel, not by eye.
Leave the ladder until last. Rails and ladders are the parts most often knocked off while you reach past them.
Dust matters more here. Open shelving collects it. A display case is worth considering if the piece will sit out for years.

More than any other theme, yes. The effect depends on light falling away into the back of the scene. Some kits include a strip and some do not — the Amazon listing is the place to confirm what is in the box.
How long does one take to build?
Longer than a café or garden scene of the same piece count, because of the number of small decorative parts. Published build times on these listings commonly run to several evenings.
Will it fit a normal bookshelf?
Book nooks are designed to, and typically finish tall and narrow. Finished dimensions are shown on each listing; measure the gap first if your shelf is fixed rather than adjustable.
Which is best for a first build?
