Wooden Music Box Kits
Wooden music box kits that you build piece by piece and finish with a working tune: cellos, pianos, record players, carriages and carousels with a real music movement inside. Laser-cut plywood, no paint needed, and a wind-up or crank that plays the melody once the last gear is in.

How to choose a wooden music box kit
Every kit here ends with a working music movement, so the first question is how it plays. Most use a small wind-up movement that you turn by hand; a few add a hand crank or a battery motor that turns a platform, a record or a carousel while the tune runs. Check which tune the listing names, since the melody is fixed by the movement in the box. Piece count is the best guide to build time: around 100 to 200 pieces is an evening or two, 300 and more is a longer, more detailed instrument or scene. Moving joints run more smoothly with a touch of the wax or graphite that many kits include, and the movement itself should go in last, after the frame is square.
