Tonecheer Leonardo da Vinci DIY Book Nook Kit with LED is a bookshelf insert of an old studio, where light through cracked window panes falls on a rocking chair and a figure lost in thought, finished behind an acrylic dust cover.
Why it is listed here
Many book nooks have one light that is simply on or off, while this one pairs a touch light with an auto-sensing light that turns on as you walk past and off again after 1 to 2 minutes. The acrylic dust cover is in the box, which saves buying a separate case for a scene with this much fine detail. At about 3-5 hours, it is a single-session or weekend build rather than a multi-week project.
What the build involves
The sensing range is listed as 0.5 to 3 metres and varies with room temperature, so test the sensor at its final shelf spot before you close up the wiring. Glue and the 3 AA batteries are not included, and Tonecheer suggests a craft adhesive, so have one ready before you open the bags. Work through the picture instructions in order and dry-fit the window frames before gluing.
