Tonecheer Haven Zero DIY Book Nook Kit with LED is an underground survivors’ shelter beneath abandoned streets, with warm lighting and a red flashing alarm effect you switch on by touch.
Why it is listed here
The shelter story and red alarm effect give it a post-apocalyptic mood that stands apart from cottage and library nooks. The auto-sensing light turns on when you approach and switches off after 1-2 minutes, so it lights up without reaching for a switch. An acrylic dust cover is included, which keeps the detailed interior clean on an open shelf.
What the build involves
Prepare three AA batteries and craft glue before you start, as both are left out for shipping reasons. The sensing distance varies from about 0.5 to 3 meters with room temperature, so test it where the nook will sit. Spread the 6-8 hours over a few sessions using the picture instructions.
