Rolife Sakura Pavilion 3D Wooden Puzzle is a compact model of a traditional Japanese pavilion with layered eaves, fine railings and pink cherry blossom trees, set off by dark brown wood.
Why it is listed here
Rolife already covers cherry blossoms in book nook and tree house form, but this is an open architecture model that you view from every side rather than through a front window. The 235 pieces lock together with mortise-and-tenon joints, and the listing says no glue or special tools are needed. At about 3 hours, it fits a single afternoon and works as a first wooden puzzle.
What the build involves
Press the joints home firmly rather than reaching for glue, since the design relies on mortise-and-tenon fits. Attach the cherry blossom pieces last so you don’t knock them while working on the eaves. The finished pavilion is about 6.6 inches across, so leave space on a desk or coffee table where it can be seen from all sides.
