Rokr Classic Printing Press 3D Wooden Puzzle builds into a small desktop printing press that inks a rubber stamp and presses it onto paper when you pull the handle.
Why it is listed here
Unlike kits that only sit on a shelf once built, this one produces something you can keep, printing stamp designs onto the included 3.5 x 2.1 in writing paper. The stamps can be combined and swapped, with numbers, kaomoji and cartoon designs, and the paper stores in a drawer in the base. At 303 parts and about 5 hours of assembly it is a solid weekend project with a working payoff.
What the build involves
Rub wax onto the gear teeth as the maker advises, so the press moves smoothly. When the press will sit unused for a while, cap the ink cartridge and store it separately so the ink does not dry out. Have two batteries on hand if you want the LED to light, since they are not in the box.
Before you order
Parts, lighting components and packaging are set by the maker and can change between batches – check the current Amazon listing. My Cutebee is an independent comparison site and is not run by any kit brand; the purchase is completed on Amazon.
