Roine Lxux Rose Princess DIY Book Nook Kit with LED tells the story of a princess waking after a century of sleep to a blooming rose, with a prince making his way through the thorns to reach her.
Why it is listed here
Rather than a generic castle, the scene is built around a single story moment, the princess, the rose and the thorny path. A 320-piece count and a published 4 to 6 hour build put it in the middle ground, more involved than a quick starter kit but still a weekend project. The dust cover and touch-switch LEDs mean it can double as a soft night light on a desk as well as shelf decor.
What the build involves
Batteries are not included, so have 2 AAA cells ready and test the touch switch before the dust cover goes on. The roses, thorns and other fine details are easier with tweezers and a thin-tip glue. At 8.7 in tall and 7 in wide it suits a standard bookcase shelf with a little headroom.
