Miniature LED Street Lamp Models (4-Pack) lights a scene from within the scene rather than from behind it – a lamp that is visibly the source, standing in the street it illuminates.
Why it is listed here
Most miniature lighting hides: a strip behind a panel, a bulb under a floor. A street lamp is the opposite, and it is what an exterior alley, plaza or shopfront scene is usually missing. Four in a pack is enough to line a walkway, which is how these scenes are meant to read.
Using it on a kit
Place them where a real lamp would stand – at a corner, beside a door, along a path – and let them do the lighting for that part of the scene rather than adding a hidden strip as well. Two competing light sources in one small alley flattens the shadows that make it work.
