Fifteen sizes is more than a single kit needs, but it removes the moment where you use a brush that is slightly too big because it is the only one to hand – which is how a neat scene starts looking approximate. The flats are the pieces most detail-only sets leave out.

Using it on a kit

Keep two or three brushes for washes and stains only; pigment and thinner treated with the same brush will muddy both. Store points-up, never resting on the bristles.
